My name is Oyvind Solstad, and this is my personal web site. In Norwegian, my name is spelled Øyvind Solstad. This is the website where I put my presentations, advice on “life on the net” and my contact info. You could google “oyvind” or just see my contact info in the sidebar here.

Work

I work as a communications advisor digital media at Carat Interactive in Oslo, Norway.

All views expressed on this site are my own, and not necessarily those of Carat Norway or Aegis Media.

Until April 2010, I worked as a technology advisor at NRK – Norwegian Broadcasting and I was the editor of NRK’s technology blog NRKbeta.no.

Social

I use the net a lot. You’ll find me on most social networks, as part of my job and because I’m interested in how humans behave socially on the net. I often talk about the shift from “the information superhighway” to “the social web”.

Personal

I live in Oslo, Norway and am the father of two children. Some things that make me happy: The woman of my life; Nina, the music on my iPod, hot showers, thai/indian/chinese/italian food, wine, nice people, reading books, photography, kayaking, running, sleeping, dreaming. If I can’t be creative, I might as well check out right now.
